Prosecutors of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into illegal hunting (part 2 of Article 248 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to preliminary information, a group of people were illegally hunting wild boars on the territory of the state hunting reserve near the village of Horbachiv (Lviv district).
The carcasses of two wild boars were found at the scene.
However, according to eyewitnesses, the poachers killed only five wild boars, and took the carcasses of three of them.
Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all appropriate measures to document the crime. Priority investigative actions are currently underway.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Investigation Department of the Lviv District Police Department No. 3 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv Region.
