During 2023, there were 361 car accidents involving drunk drivers on the highways of Lviv and the region. Of them, 86 were injured, in which 13 people died, another 120 received injuries of varying severity.
In order to increase the safety of road users, the police systematically conduct measures to identify drivers who drive vehicles while intoxicated.
So, last year, 9,613 administrative protocols were drawn up for drunken drivers under Article 130 (Driving vehicles or vessels by persons who are in a state of alcohol, narcotic or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs that reduce their attention and speed of reaction) of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses.
