A pseudo-philanthropist tried to import goods worth 1.5 million hryvnias under false documents through the Ugryniv PE

Under the guise of humanitarian aid, the man tried to import goods worth 1.5 million hryvnias using false documents.

The “Renault” cargo vehicle followed to Ukraine through the “Ugryniv” checkpoint. During the control, a 35-year-old resident of Volyn reported that he was moving humanitarian aid: construction foam, epoxy resin, fiberglass, hardener, etc., to the address of one of the religious organizations.

Based on the information of operatives regarding the possible illegal importation of goods under the guise of humanitarian aid, the car was sent for additional inspection.

During the examination and inspection of the goods, the border guards together with the customs officers established that the goods being moved do not correspond to the ones described in the customs declaration. In addition, documents found among the driver’s personal belongings confirmed that these goods were exported by a Polish company to a Ukrainian private enterprise.

According to this fact, the customs officials made a protocol. The goods, weighing 2.8 tons and worth about 1.5 million hryvnias, were removed according to the established procedure.
