The traffic accident happened on September 18, around 5:30 p.m., on the Mukachevo-Lviv highway, near Stary Selo, Lviv district
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Daewoo Sens car, a 40-year-old resident of the city of Khodoryv, drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a Renault Clio driven by a 49-year-old resident of the same city.
As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of the Renault, a 45-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, both from Lviv, were injured. They were given medical assistance, and the child was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department. In addition, the Daewoo driver was also injured – he was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
