The traffic accident occurred on July 25, around 4:30 p.m., on the Mostyska-Sambir-Borislav highway in the village of Rudnya, Sambir district
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Daewoo Lanos, a 26-year-old resident of the Lviv district, in order to avoid a collision with a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 21-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Sambir district, which created an emergency situation, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with an Opel Zafira car driven by a 38-year-old resident of Sambir region.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Daewoo Lanos, the driver of the Opel Zafira, and two of his passengers were injured and taken to the hospital: a 32-year-old resident of Sambor and a 30-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police of the Lviv Region opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
