Four injured as a result of a car-bus collision in Lviv district

The road accident occurred on 15 October, at around 17.20, on the Ivano-Frankivsk-Lviv motorway near the village of Vidnyky, Lviv district.

Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that a Peugeot 307 driven by a 35-year-old resident of Lviv collided with a MAN bus driven by a 43-year-old resident of Lviv district.

As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles, as well as a passenger of the bus – a 19-year-old resident of Lviv district and a passenger of the car, a 25-year-old resident of Lviv – were injured and taken to a medical facility.

Investigators of the Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
