Four “evaders” from mobilization caught in Uhryniv will be tried for providing false documents

All the accused, residents of different regions of Ukraine, men of conscription age, tried to leave for the Republic of Poland through the Uhryniv customs crossing, presenting forged documents to the border guards.

Investigators of the inquiry sector of the police department №2 of the Chervonohrad district police department completed pre-trial investigations in four criminal proceedings opened under Part 5 of Article 27 Part 1 of Article 358 (Assistance in forging an official document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of knowingly forged document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sent indictments to court.

According to police, a 19-year-old resident of Cherkasy region, a 34-year-old Kharkiv resident, a 30-year-old Chernihiv resident and a 36-year-old Kyiv resident provided their personal data to produce forged documents in order to obtain the right to leave Ukraine during martial law. exemption from mobilization for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In March-April, the men presented these forged documents to border guards at the Uhryniv crossing while trying to cross the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Poland. In all cases, border guards found that the documents showed signs of forgery and reported it to police.

The maximum penalty for defendants is up to two years in prison.
