Resident of Chervonohrad cynically robbed a house in broad daylight and robbed a supermarket – 7 years in prison
Following a public prosecution by the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office, a 24-year-old local resident was found guilty of theft and robbery (Part 4 of Article 185, Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
The prosecutor proved in court that in December 2023, in Chervonohrad, the defendant robbed a house where a bedridden pensioner was staying at the time. The defendant entered the house in broad daylight, breaking the lock and damaging the door. He stole money, power tools, a tablet, mobile accessories and other household items, and then fled the scene.
However, the man did not stop there and, despite being placed under house arrest for the previous crime, robbed a local supermarket almost a month later.
The defendant will be detained until the verdict enters into force.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.
