In the village of Murovane, Lviv region, a tragic accident occurred on February 5th at 14:05. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus, driven by a 58-year-old resident of Lviv, struck a 10-year-old boy.
As a result of the collision, the child sustained bodily injuries and was urgently hospitalized. Emergency medical services and investigators worked at the scene, trying to determine the details of the incident.
In response to the event, the Investigative Department of Police Unit No.1 of Lviv District Police Office initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the violation of traffic safety rules. The maximum penalty under this article can reach up to three years of restriction of liberty and a similar term of prohibition from driving.
