Traffic Accident in Lviv District: Two Teenagers Injured
A traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, as a result of which two minors who were riding a scooter were injured. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Accident Details
The traffic accident happened on April 2, around 14:20, in the village of Sukhovolia, Lviv district. As preliminarily determined by law enforcement, there was a collision between a BMW 528 vehicle, driven by a 45-year-old resident of the Lviv district, and a scooter on which two minors from the district, aged 14 and 15, were riding.
As a result of the accident, the boys sustained bodily injuries and were hospitalized.
Criminal Proceedings
Investigators from the division for investigating crimes committed by children in the Lviv police opened criminal proceedings under part.2 of article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without such deprivation.
Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
