The traffic accident occurred on January 8 at 3:30 a.m. on the Borinya-Boberka highway in the village of Verkhnya Yablunka, Sambir district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the Daewoo Nexia, an 18-year-old local resident, lost control and drove into a ditch.
As a result of the accident, two female passengers of the car – local residents aged 18 and 24 – were injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of Lviv Oblast opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
