Misuse of budget funds: BES announces suspicion to director of mining company
Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv region served a notice of suspicion to the head of a state-owned mining company of misuse of budget funds in large amounts.
The pre-trial investigation established that in December 2022, the company’s director was supposed to take measures to liquidate unpromising coal mining enterprises in the course of implementing the budget programme.
However, during the distribution of funds, he used almost UAH 2 million for purposes other than the intended purpose of the budget programme.
The SBU detectives served the head of the state-owned enterprise a notice of suspicion on the grounds of a criminal offence stipulated by Part 1 Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office are in charge of the investigation.
