In the Lviv region, two residents of Zaporozhye were sentenced for rape of minors and production of child pornography

In support of the public indictment by the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the court found the 48-year-old and 45-year-old residents of Zaporizhzhia guilty of rape and depravity of minors, as well as production and possession of child pornography (Part 4 of Article 152, Part 2 of Article 156, Part 4, 5 of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in the wording of the articles that were in force until 2019). The latter was also convicted for obtaining access to child pornography (Part 1 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

They were sentenced to 15 and 11 years of imprisonment, respectively. Also, everyone is deprived of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to working with children for a period of 3 years.

Prosecutors proved in court that the men molested and raped a minor girl, recording it all on video. The victim is the daughter of one of the accused.

In addition, the 45-year-old convict also committed lewd acts and raped a 9-year-old girl with the consent of her mother, with whom he also had sexual intercourse in front of the child. He filmed all this on video, which he then saved on his personal computer.

Due to their age and helpless condition, the victims could not resist the rapists.

It was also established that the latter illegally obtained access to a site with child pornography on the Internet, from where he downloaded video files and saved them on his laptop.

The men will remain in custody until the verdict enters into force.

Information about the accused will be entered into the Register of persons convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of minors.

Criminal proceedings against the mother were closed due to her death.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv Region.
