Cameras in Lviv captured a suspected arsonist

Today, surveillance cameras recorded a suspected arsonist on Bortnyanskogo Street. A man wearing a hooded jacket first approached the waste containers (without a bag of garbage), stood there for a few seconds and left.

The bin then caught fire. The Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council has already provided the video to law enforcement agencies.

As a reminder, at least eight possible arson attacks were reported in Lviv last night.

Around 5am, the building of the Dzvin cinema on Sheptytskikh Street caught fire. Then three more occurred in the Halytskyi district: a container yard on Nyzkyi Zamok Street, an electrical switchboard room on Teatralna Street and facade decorations on Staroyevreyska Street.

There were also two fires at container yards on Kvitky-Osnovyanenko Street and one on Bortnyanskoho Street in Zaliznychnyi district, and another on Yatskova Street in Shevchenkivskyi district. All information on these fires has been passed to law enforcement agencies.
