The former head of one of the postal departments will be tried for misappropriating more than UAH 150,000 from the company
Under the procedural leadership of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment was sent to the court against the former head of one of the postal departments for misappropriation of company funds (part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused, being the head of one of the mobile postal offices, embezzled more than UAH 150,000 belonging to the company.
The money came for receiving and delivering mail to addressees, and it was also other cash that she took from the branch’s cash register. Later, the woman disposed of them at her own discretion.
Representatives of the company have filed a civil lawsuit with the aim of compensating the plaintiff for the damages caused.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by the investigators of the Zolochiv district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
