Border guards of the Carpathian Detachment in Lviv region uncovered a hidden shipment of undeclared jewelry in a scheduled bus traveling from Szczecin to Kherson. The stash contained 301 pieces of white and yellow 925 metal jewelry, including chains, earrings, pendants, and rings. The estimated value of the seized items is around 500,000 hryvnias.
How the Smuggling Attempt Was Discovered
Border security officers received intelligence about a potential smuggling attempt and inspected the vehicle. The bus driver claimed he had picked up the package in Poland and was supposed to deliver it to Lviv.
The seized jewelry has been transferred to customs storage for further investigation by relevant authorities.
