The Recruitment Centre of the Ukrainian Army will provide free training on the basics of first aid according to the TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) military medicine protocol and the MARCH algorithm, which is a key approach to treating combat injuries. This knowledge will allow everyone to be prepared to act in emergency situations.
“Due to the ongoing hostilities and constant shelling of peaceful cities in Ukraine, the availability of basic first aid skills among the civilian population is critical. Everyone should know how to act in emergency situations, help the injured, stop bleeding, and support breathing until qualified medics arrive,” the organisers emphasise.
The training will cover the following topics:
- stopping massive bleeding;
- Airway assessment and management;
- examination of breathing and ventilation;
- control of blood circulation;
- full examination for hidden injuries.
The training will take place on 14 September at 67 K. Levytskoho Street.
