A man from Lviv killed a 22-year-old boy to whom he sold drugs – the case has been referred to the court

Under the procedural guidance of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 61-year-old resident of Lviv, who is accused of intentional murder, sale and cultivation of particularly dangerous narcotics (Part 1 of Article 115, Part 2 of Article 307, Part 1 Article 310 of the Criminal Code).

According to the investigation, in one of the villages of the Zolochiv district, the defendant grew and organized the sale of hemp on the territory of his own household.

In August of this year, a 22-year-old resident of the village came to the accused in economic affairs and randomly bought drugs from him. Later, a conflict arose between them. The accused, who was intoxicated, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the “guest” once in the chest. The victim died at the scene.

The man was arrested the day after the murder and remanded in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigators of the Zolochiv RVP of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
