A man from Lviv will be tried for a robbery attack in a pharmacy and robbery of cashiers

Prosecutors of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against a 35-year-old man from Lviv on charges of robbery and robbery (part 4 of article 187, part 4 of article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that in September of last year, the accused broke into one of the local pharmacies with a pneumatic weapon in his hands. The man, threatening the pharmacist with a weapon and physical violence, demanded that he hand over money from the cash register. Having seized more than UAH 2,000, the latter fled from the scene of the crime.

Later, as it was established, the defendant did not stop there and committed the crime again in two days.

Knowing with certainty the location of the collector’s car, the suspect opened the passenger door of the specified car and sprayed the aerosol can into the driver’s eyes and grabbed a bag with safe-deposit bags containing valuables and money.

During the pursuit, the latter threw the contents of the bag on the ground, took money in the amount of UAH 11,000 and ran away from the collectors.

The accused is currently in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
