Lviv Resident to Be Tried for Drug and Psychotropics Trafficking

In Lviv, a man accused of distributing drugs and psychotropics will be tried.

It has been established that a 41-year-old resident of Lviv was involved in the distribution of the narcotic substance buprenorphine and the psychotropic substance Alpha-PVP in a ‘hand-to-hand’ manner within Lviv, as well as through postal shipments. The offender was exposed by criminal police operatives together with investigators from Police Department No. 2 of Lviv District Police Administration No. 2 under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office.

Law enforcement documented several instances of the suspect distributing the prohibited substances. Furthermore, during a sanctioned search at the suspect’s residence, police discovered and seized packages and parcels containing narcotics and psychotropic substances, a mobile phone, and other material evidence of his involvement in illegal activities.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, opened under Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, possession, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment has been sent to the court for consideration. The maximum penalty faced by the accused is imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
