Lviv police officers exposed a scheme of illegal departure of conscripts abroad

For USD 3,000, the woman promised the petitioners to enter fictitious data into the information system for unhindered departure from the country. She will bear criminal responsibility for what she did.

Operatives of the Lviv Department of the Internal Security Department of the National Police received information that a 41-year-old resident of Lviv is engaged in illegal activities. It turned out that the woman “specializes” in illegally transporting conscripts across the state border.

She looked for men of draft age willing to leave the country and offered them her services. The defendant assured her “clients” that she had reliable “connections” and could enter inaccurate information about individuals into the database.

While receiving the agreed amount – 3,000 US dollars – the perpetrator was detained by operatives of the UDVB and investigators of the Lviv police. Cash has been withdrawn.

Currently, the investigators of the National Police Service in the Lviv Region have handed her a suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For what she committed, she faces from 7 to 9 years of imprisonment.

Internal security operatives of the police are checking the possibility of involvement of other persons in the illegal activities of the accused in order to bring them to justice. The investigation is ongoing.

Procedural management is carried out by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
