Under the supervision of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 23-year-old resident of Kyiv region was exposed and arrested. Source. According to the investigation, the young man was recruited through a telegram channel by Russian intelligence, tasked with planting a homemade explosive device near a recruitment center in Lviv. During a special operation, he was caught in the act. It was established that the explosive device consisted of ammonal and other chemicals and was filled with metal objects for maximum impact. The man was charged with treason (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), facing up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The investigation continues to identify all involved individuals and preventive measures of detention.
The investigation is conducted by the SSU in the Lviv region. According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by the court.
