The suspect’s defence lawyer filed an appeal against the previous ruling of the Halych District Court, which had imposed a pre-trial restraint on the 18-year-old – detention without bail – and asked to cancel it and impose a different measure of restraint – round-the-clock house arrest.
The Lviv Court of Appeal dismissed the petition and upheld the previous court decision to impose a preventive measure, meaning that the suspect will remain in custody without the possibility of bail.
