The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has completed a pre-trial investigation regarding a Ukrainian accused of collaboration with the enemy during the war (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Source
In April 2022, after the onset of the Russian invasion, a firefighter voluntarily sided with the occupier. During the hostilities in the Volnovakha community, he did not evacuate to a safe area; instead, he joined the illegal dnr body.
- He received the position of a firefighter rescuer in the “fire-rescue squad of the city of Volnovakha,” operating under the auspices of the occupation authorities.
- He participated in strengthening the positions of the occupation administration in the captured territories.
The investigation was conducted by the investigators of the State Bureau of Investigations of Lviv, based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv region. The individual is considered innocent until proven guilty by the court.
