Following a public prosecution by prosecutors of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 55-year-old local resident was found guilty of illegal possession with intent to sell and sale of narcotic drugs (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. In particular, the apartment, which is his property.
Prosecutors proved in court that the defendant illegally sold cannabis in Drohobych.
He accepted orders by phone, and the client received the goods at a hand-to-hand meeting.
In addition, poppy straws were found at the man’s place of residence.
The suspect will be detained until the verdict enters into force.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.
