Resident of Lviv sentenced to over 5 years in prison for severely beating an acquaintance

A court in Lviv has sentenced a 35-year-old man, who was found guilty of inflicting serious injuries on his acquaintance. According to the court’s decision, the accused will spend 5 years and 6 months in prison.

The incident occurred last July in an apartment within the Halytskyi district of Lviv, where a dispute erupted between two men. As a result of the conflict, the 35-year-old man brutally beat his guest, who was using crutches due to health issues. The victim sought help from passersby and was hospitalized. Medical examination revealed the seriousness of his injuries, including broken ribs and a ruptured organ.

The Halytska District Prosecutor’s Office vigorously represented the state prosecution in this process, leading to such a court verdict. The accused will be held in custody until the decision takes legal effect. The investigation of this case was conducted by the Lviv District Administration of the National Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
