The prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court against the resident of Radekhov for intentional homicide (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in July of this year, a 59-year-old man visited the accused in the city of Radehov, where, drinking alcohol, he began to speak offensively about the landlady’s daughter, as a result of which a quarrel broke out between them. During the conflict, the man took a glass of vodka and splashed it in the face of the hostess, after which he went out into the hallway.
The woman took a kitchen knife and followed her guest, who was intoxicated, sitting on the stairwell. The accused approached from behind and stabbed the victim twice in the neck, as a result of which the latter died on the spot.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Chervonograd RVP of the GU of the NP of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
