A resident of Drohobytsky district was sentenced to 3 years in prison for evading military conscription

A 29-year-old resident of the district was found guilty of evading conscription for military service during mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by the prosecutors of the Drogobytsk District Prosecutor’s Office.

He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

It was established that the examination of the military medical commission found the accused to be partially fit for military service due to his state of health. In particular, a man is suitable to serve in security units, TCC and SP, institutions, organizations and educational institutions.

Accordingly, he was served with a summons, according to which he had to appear for dispatch to the place of duty.

However, the person involved did not appear at the territorial recruitment and social support center for his service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without a valid reason. Therefore, the conscript violated the requirements of the current legislation and evaded military conscription.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Drohobytsky district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
