A resident of Sheptytske will be tried for the murder of a man – he stabbed his guest 20 times

A resident of Sheptytske is on trial for killing his neighbour

Prosecutors of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office have sent an indictment against a 71-year-old local resident to court. He is charged with premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation has established that in early August this year, the accused and his 42-year-old neighbour were drinking alcohol at his home. During the feast, the host stabbed the guest 20 times. The victim died on the spot as a result of injuries to the chest and other parts of the body.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
