In the Lviv district, four people were injured as a result of a car collision – law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on July 24, around 7:30 p.m., on the Zhovkva-Chervonograd-Kovel highway near the village of Turinka, Lviv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, a collision occurred between a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 26-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district and a Ural 4320 truck driven by a 38-year-old resident of the district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and three of his passengers – men aged 22, 26 and 28 – all residents of the Lviv district, were injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
