In the Chervonohrad region, a local resident was sentenced for molesting a 5-year-old girl

A 35-year-old resident of the district was found guilty of depraving a minor (Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for maintaining a public accusation by the prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office.

He was sentenced to 5 years in prison. He is also deprived of the right to hold positions related to the education and training of children and to engage in activities related to working with children for a period of 3 years.

Prosecutors proved in court that in 2018, in one of the villages of Chervonohrad Oblast, the accused molested a 5-year-old girl. That day he helped her family with the household.

Taking advantage of the lack of attention of adults, the man lured the child, who was playing in the yard at home in the unfinished building, with promises and committed lewd acts of a sexual nature, aimed at corrupting the latter.

Information about the accused will be entered in the Register of persons convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of minors.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the VP No. 2 of the Chervonograd RVP of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
