The accused inflicted numerous blows on the victim’s head and other parts of the body with a wrench, causing severe injuries from which he died. for what he committed, he faces a penalty of up to ten years of imprisonment.
As the employees of the Drohobych district police department established, on August 14, around four o’clock in the morning, a domestic conflict broke out in the apartment of one of the buildings on Hrushevsky Street in Drohobych between two visiting men – residents of the district center aged 39 and 40, during which the older men brutally beat the younger man.
The attacker inflicted numerous blows on the victim’s head and other parts of the body with a wrench, causing severe injuries, from which he died at the scene. Both men were intoxicated.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, which was conducted under the procedural leadership of the Drogobytsk District Prosecutor’s Office, opened under Part 2 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been completed. The indictment is referred to the court. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to ten years.
According to the court’s decision, the suspect is in custody.
