Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the suspicion of obtaining an illegal benefit was exposed and reported to the deputy director of one of the educational institutions in Lviv (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect demanded and received 35,000 hryvnias of illegal benefits from a citizen for solving the issue of leasing real estate.
We are talking about the subordinate territory and warehouses with an area of 100 square meters, which are on the balance sheet of the educational institution.
The official was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine after receiving a bribe.
During the search of the suspect’s car, the law enforcement officers discovered and seized illegal profits.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by the investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, operational support is carried out by the SBU Department in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
