Border Guards in the Lviv Region Detect Fake Insurance Policies
At the state border within the Lviv region, servicemen of the 7th Border Carpathian Unit continue to identify instances of using fake international sample insurance policies known as the ‘Green Card’.
Increase in Number of Fraudulent Documents
Since the beginning of 2025, 25 cases of presenting fraudulent documents have been recorded, 15 of which occurred in April. In all cases, the border guards sent notifications to the National Police on grounds of a criminal offense under Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – ‘Forgery of documents, seals, stamps, and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps’.
Appeal to Citizens
We urge citizens not to violate Ukrainian legislation and refrain from using services of questionable insurance representatives. We remind that fake policies do not appear in the MTIBU database, making it impossible to use them as intended.
‼️Purchase insurance policies only from accredited companies and verify the authenticity of the ‘Green Card’ through official sources. Do not succumb to the temptation to save at the cost of committing a crime.
