On the border with Poland, a man lost a minibus due to cigarette smuggling

Border guards together with customs officials stopped an attempt to smuggle tobacco products illegally at the Shegina checkpoint in Lviv Oblast.

Tonight, a Renault minibus, driven by a 64-year-old Ukrainian, followed to the neighboring country. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was sent for additional inspection. Subsequently, inspectors, with the involvement of a service dog, discovered hidden contraband cigarettes. Under the paneling of the minibus, the man hid more than 1,100 packs of cigarettes of various names without Ukrainian excise duty stamps.

According to this fact, the customs officials drew up a report. Tobacco products and the minibus were removed in the established order. The assessment amount will be set additionally.
