The prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the State Geocadastre in the Lviv Region on the fact of exceeding official powers by a law enforcement officer (Part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the official illegally alienated the state-owned land plot.
In 2021, the accused served as the head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Lviv region. Then, contrary to the law, he signed orders to grant permission for the development of the land management project and its subsequent approval and transfer of the land plot to private ownership.
As a result, the above-mentioned lands were illegally removed from state ownership.
We are talking about a land plot with a total area of 2 hectares, located on the administrative border of the city of Lviv. Its estimated value is about UAH 12 million.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the territorial department of the DBR, located in the city of Lviv.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
