Operatives of the Lviv border detachment, together with law enforcement officers, exposed a resident of Prykarpattia who, together with accomplices, helped men of conscription age to leave Ukraine illegally.
Ukrainians of draft age and those subject to general mobilization used the services of “businessmen”.
The law enforcement officers established that the perpetrators concluded fictitious employment contracts with their “clients”, and subsequently information about the pseudo-drivers was entered into the “Shlyah” system. After that, a 24-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region transported men of draft age across the state border.
In the course of authorized searches, law enforcement officers discovered and seized mobile phones, draft notes, fake employment documents and bank cards.
The investigators informed the accused about the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
Actions to stop illegal activities were carried out by border guards of the operational and investigative unit of the Lviv border detachment, employees of the Lviv department of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine and investigators of the National Security Service in the Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv specialized prosecutor’s office in the field of defense of the Western region.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
