Almost three hundred injured since the beginning of the year, caused by speeding
In January-April 2024, 184 road accidents with victims occurred in the Lviv region as a result of a simple rule violation – speed. In these accidents, 281 people were injured and 30 people were unfortunately killed.
This was reported by the Police of Lviv region.
We would like to point out that exceeding the safe speed limit remains the leading cause of road accidents with injuries.
By the way, during this period, patrol policemen issued 20,486 tickets for speeding.
Remember:
📌 Pursuant to Article 122(1) of the Code of Administrative Offences, exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h is punishable by a fine of UAH 340;
📌 Pursuant to Article 122(4) of the Code of Administrative Offences, exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h is punishable by a fine of UAH 1700.
