Law enforcement officers urge all road users to strictly adhere to and comply with the requirements of the Traffic Rules. In particular, do not exceed the permitted and safe speed, rules of intersections and maneuvering.
So, on June 7, at 6.40 pm, in the village of Porshna, Lviv district, the driver of a Renault Scenic car, a 49-year-old resident of a village in the Stryi district, collided with a Honda moped driven by a 14-year-old resident of a Lviv district village. As a result of the accident, the minor received injuries and was hospitalized.
Another accident occurred at 2:25 pm on Horodotska Street in Lviv. According to the police, a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by a 28-year-old Lviv resident collided with a Renault Clio driven by a 36-year-old Lviv resident. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist was injured and taken to a medical facility.
According to these facts, investigators of territorial divisions of the Lviv region police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
