In the Lviv region, a drunk Ford driver hit pedestrians – four people were injured

The road accident happened on May 15 at 10.20 pm in one of the villages of Lviv district

According to police, the driver of the Ford car, a 44-year-old local resident, was driving under the influence of alcohol and hit people on the road.

As a result of the accident, a 35-year-old resident of Rava-Ruska, an 11-year-old minor from Lviv, a 38-year-old resident of the village where the accident took place and a 33-year-old foreigner were injured. All of them were taken to medical facilities.

In fact, investigators of the police department №2 of the Lviv District Police Department №1 opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by persons driving while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive for a period of three to five years.

A pre-trial investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
