In the Lviv region, law enforcement officers exposed a channel of illegal transportation of persons abroad

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS EXPOSED A CHANNEL OF ILLEGAL TRANSFER OF PERSONS ACROSS THE BORDER IN Lviv Oblast

The men were looking for “clients” who intended to avoid mobilization into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and “provided” them with fictitious documents to cross the border.

Operatives of the Lviv border detachment, together with employees of the Migration Police Department and the Department of Criminal Analysis of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lviv Oblast, investigators of the Yavoriv police department of the Lviv region, under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office, detained two citizens of Ukraine who assisted their compatriots in illegally crossing the border. The perpetrators were residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Dilki produced documents on the guardianship of people with disabilities and those who need constant care. In this way, the perpetrators transported 28 evaders abroad.

According to the results of authorized searches, objects and documents were found and seized, which confirm the involvement of the persons involved in illegal activities.

The law enforcement officers detained the swindlers in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The investigators informed the perpetrators of the suspicion of committing a crime, provided for in Part 2 of Art. 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for deprivation of liberty for a period of five to seven years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years.
