For a considerable fee, a resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region produced fictitious documents for “clients” about their unfitness for military service.
As the operatives of the Lviv border detachment, together with the employees of the Migration Police Department in the Lviv region and the employees of the investigative department of the Lviv region police, established, the 45-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region together with two accomplices helped “evaders” leave the country illegally. The woman produced a fictitious certificate of conscript and a certificate from the military medical commission on unfitness for military service, which is the basis for crossing the state border of Ukraine. The criminals valued their “services” at 4,000 euros per person. During the authorized searches of the place of residence of the perpetrators, about 2.5 million hryvnias, forged seals, medical forms, medical certificates, draft records, computer equipment and other physical evidence were discovered and seized. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, informed the perpetrator and her two accomplices of the suspicion of committing a crime, provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.” The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a period of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.
