The State Border Service effectively protects the Ukrainian border and constantly introduces innovations in its protection.
Thus, during the previous day, servicemen of the 7th Carpathian border detachment stopped four attempts to illegally cross the border and detained seven violators.
The border monitoring systems installed in the sections of the “Grushiv” and “Mshanets” branches recorded the movement of two groups of people towards the neighboring state. In a few minutes, the border guards came forward to intercept. Later, a few hundred meters from the state border, servicemen detained four Ukrainians, who turned out to be residents of Lviv and Kyiv regions.
Two more men were detained in the area of the “Nismychi” department. The “Control Post” outfit noticed the movement of two unknowns. A “reaction group” was dispatched from the unit for verification, which detained two residents of Volyn near the border.
The inspector of the “Shadows” department at the railway station found a native of Donetsk who could not explain the purpose of his stay in the border station. During the conversation, the man admitted that he intended to illegally cross the border outside the valid checkpoints.
All detainees were taken to border units for examination and prosecution. The further fate of the detainees will be decided by the court.
