It was established that in one of the villages of Stryi district, two residents of Sumy region aged 20 and 21 rented a house, brought equipment and precursors there and began to manufacture “amphetamine” and PVP for further sale.
The defendants produced the prohibited substances in commercial quantities, and received instructions on how to manufacture them via the Telegram channel.
The criminals were exposed by criminal police operatives and investigators of the Stryi District Police Department under the supervision of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office.
During the authorised search, law enforcement officers found and seized more than 2 kilograms of amphetamine and PVP psychotropic drugs, precursors, as well as chemical equipment, electronic scales and other material evidence. The total value of the seized items is about one million hryvnias.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) has been completed. The indictment has been sent to court.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of nine to twelve years with confiscation of property.
