The perpetrator, a 23-year-old resident of the Lviv district, faces up to fifteen years of imprisonment for his crime.
As the employees of Police Department No. 3 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 established, on August 8, around 7:00 p.m., a conflict arose between patients of a rehabilitation center located in one of the villages of Lviv District, during which a 23-year-old resident of Lviv District beat a 30-year-old resident of Lviv. causing him bodily harm. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Pustomytov district prosecutor’s office, informed the detainee of the suspicion of committing a crime under part 1 of article 115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
