Another member of an organized group was exposed in Lviv Oblast, who smuggled conscripts across the border for $5,000

The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office together with the SBU Office in the Lviv Region continue active work aimed at countering crimes that threaten the state security of Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, in July law enforcement officers detained a man who, together with his accomplices, promised to transport a conscripted resident of Lviv Oblast across the state border of Ukraine on the basis of a known forged official document – a certificate from the military medical commission with false information about the disease. This service cost $5,000.

Currently, under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, one more resident of Lviv Oblast has been exposed and notified of the suspicion of organizing illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine for selfish motives, committed by an organized group (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Measures are being taken to locate the third member of the group.

Other persons who could obtain forged documents and leave Ukraine on these grounds are being identified.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
