Two Lviv residents were detained in the Lviv region, who transported conscripts abroad for 11,000 US dollars

The organizers of the channel of illegal transportation of men outside Ukraine were exposed by the operatives of the department for the protection of the interests of society and the state together with the investigators of the police of the Lviv Region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

As the law enforcement officers established, two Lviv residents aged 24 and 38 “helped” conscripted men to illegally cross the border under martial law. They valued their “services” at $11,000.

On July 20, law enforcement officers detained the perpetrators in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine when they received funds for the transfer of forged documents that gave the right to leave conscripted men outside of Ukraine. Soon, the court will choose preventive measures for the detainees.

During the authorized searches conducted at the places of registration, actual residence and vehicles of the persons involved, the law enforcement officers discovered and seized material evidence.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 3 of Article 332 (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of seven to nine years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the identities of other participants in the criminal “scheme”.
