One of the organizers of the scheme to send a group of conscripts to EU countries for 18 thousand US dollars was detained in Lviv Oblast

Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 35-year-old resident of Kyiv was detained and informed of suspicion of organizing the illegal transportation of conscripts across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the person involved in the group with unidentified persons established a scheme of illegal transportation of conscripted men to EU countries. For a monetary reward in the amount of 18,000 US dollars, they promised to organize the illegal transportation of 6 people across the state border to the Republic of Poland, by including data on these persons in the “Path” database.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code during the receipt of an illegal benefit and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.

Investigative actions are ongoing, the involvement of other persons in the commission of the crime is established.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region, based on the materials of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
