It was preliminarily established that a conflict arose between the suspect and the deceased during the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The detained woman faces a punishment of imprisonment for up to ten years. On February 11, police received a report about a man’s body found with signs of violent death in a house in one of the villages of Yavoriv district. The investigative-operational group and representatives from other services of the Yavoriv district police department, as well as forensic experts from the Lviv region police, quickly arrived at the scene. The body of the deceased, a 41-year-old foreigner temporarily residing in the Lviv region, was found to have multiple injuries. Law enforcement established that earlier in the night, the 50-year-old local woman and the deceased were guests at a gathering. During the consumption of alcoholic beverages, a conflict ensued in which the suspect brutally beat the acquaintance, causing fatal injuries. The criminal was detained under article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Soon, the court will select a preventive measure for her. The investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the detainee about the suspicion of committing the crime stipulated in part 2 of article 121 (Intentional severe bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for a punishment of imprisonment from seven to ten years. The pre-trial investigation continues.
