These allotments will be transferred to the ownership of the state
On the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine, seven plots of land in the Lviv region that belonged to citizens of the Russian Federation were confiscated.
Roksolana Yavorska, spokeswoman for the SBU in the Lviv region, spoke about this in more detail during a briefing at the Official Media Center at the Lviv Regional State Administration.
It is about more than 4 hectares of land, located in tourist attractive areas of Lviv region, with a total value of more than 10 million UAH. These allotments will be transferred to the ownership of the state.
“According to operational information, the owners of the lands are three citizens of the aggressor country. Currently, there is a ready-made package of documents that makes it impossible for citizens of the Russian Federation to own the specified lands. So far, the court has satisfied the lawsuit regarding the confiscation of these objects. The special service systematically carries out measures to expose and block the schemes of illegal ownership of the lands of the Ukrainian people by citizens of the terrorist country,” the spokeswoman of the SBU in the Lviv region emphasized.
The leader of a criminal group was caught red-handed in Lviv Oblast, who, together with his accomplices, demanded money from ordinary citizens for non-existent debts. They also intentionally created artificial conflict situations in order to profit from it. If a person refused to pay, he was threatened with physical violence.
“Among the citizens from whom the perpetrators tried to “extort” money were those who had just been mobilized into the ranks of the Ukrainian army. For example, one serviceman had to pay $2,000 per month for a fictitious debt. The perpetrators were detained during another transfer of money from the victim in the amount of 40,000 hryvnias. During the search of his apartment, another 350,000 dollars were found and seized. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, the main suspect in the case has been taken into custody. The criminal faces up to 12 years in prison,” said Roksolana Yavorska.
In the Lviv region, the special service has blocked two more schemes for the production of documents for the illegal departure of men of military age abroad under martial law. One of the schemes was organized by three residents of Lviv Oblast, who provided potential fugitives with certificates of “unfitness” for military service. For $5,000, they guaranteed to produce documents to avoid mobilization due to health conditions and promised to assist in removing conscripts from the register. The operatives arrested the criminals “red handed”.
Unscrupulous doctors led by the management of one of the region’s medical institutions are involved in another scheme. For $5,500, these defendants drew up documents claiming a person’s disability to avoid conscription. Operatives exposed the head of one of the departments of the medical institution and her colleague while receiving another tranche of 4,500 USD.
As for the traitors who fought against our state, the SBU has completed pre-trial investigations of three militants, members of the L/DNR terrorist organizations, who will be sentenced.
One of them is a 30-year-old native of Donetsk region. In August 2022, he voluntarily switched to the side of the enemy and joined the “people’s militia of the DNR” under the control of the Russian occupiers. The occupiers used the man as a human shield for demining positions during battles against the defenders of Ukraine on the southern and eastern fronts.
The other two are residents of the Luhansk region, who since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation have gone over to the side of the invaders. In March 2023, during the fighting in the Bakhmut and Severodonetsk directions, the Defense Forces of Ukraine completely destroyed the enemy’s positions and captured the traitors. They will be tried under three articles of the Criminal Code: treason, participation in a terrorist organization and illegal armed formations. They face 15 years behind bars.
The Security Service of Ukraine also completed a pre-trial investigation into two adherents of communist ideology in Lviv Oblast. One of them is a native of Belarus, who has been living in Lviv for a long time and has the citizenship of our country, and a resident of Lysychansk, who is in Lviv Oblast with the status of an IDP. In their posts on social networks, they noted that they were waiting for Russian “liberators” and dreamed of returning to life in the Soviet Union. They are threatened with restriction of freedom for up to five years.
